2.3 Information Collected Through Advertising Platforms

We use third-party advertising platforms to promote our services. These platforms may collect additional information about you:

Google Ads and Google Analytics: When you interact with our Google Ads (Search, Display, or YouTube), Google may collect data including your search queries, ad interactions (clicks, impressions, conversions), device and browser information, IP address, and location data. We use Google Analytics to analyze Site traffic and user behavior. Google may use cookies and similar technologies, including the Google Ads remarketing pixel and Google Analytics tracking code, to collect this data. Google may also link this data with your Google account if you are signed in.

Facebook and Instagram Ads (Meta): When you interact with our advertisements on Facebook or Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc. may collect data including your ad interactions, device information, IP address, and browsing behavior on our Site through the Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel). This allows us to measure ad performance, create custom audiences, and deliver targeted advertisements. Meta may link this activity with your Facebook or Instagram profile.

Other Social Media Platforms: We may also advertise on additional social media platforms such as TikTok, Nextdoor, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, or others. Each platform has its own tracking technologies and data collection practices. When you interact with our ads on these platforms, the respective platform may collect information in accordance with its own privacy policy.

4. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to collect information, improve the Site, and deliver advertising. Below is a detailed explanation of the technologies we use:

4.1 Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the basic functioning of the Site, such as enabling page navigation, securing form submissions, and maintaining your session. These cookies do not collect personal information for marketing purposes and cannot be disabled without affecting Site functionality.

4.2 Analytics Cookies

Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our Site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect data such as pages visited, session duration, bounce rate, and traffic sources. This data is aggregated and anonymized where possible. Google Analytics may also collect demographic and interest data if enabled. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

4.3 Advertising Cookies and Pixels

Google Ads Cookies: Google places cookies on your browser when you click on our Google Ads or visit our Site. These cookies enable conversion tracking (measuring whether an ad click led to a desired action such as a form submission or phone call) and remarketing (showing our ads to you as you browse other websites in the Google Display Network or use Google Search). Google’s advertising cookies include the Google Ads conversion tracking cookie and the DoubleClick cookie.

Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram): We have installed the Meta Pixel on our Site. The Meta Pixel is a piece of code that collects data about your activity on our Site and sends it to Meta Platforms, Inc. This enables us to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns, build custom audiences for future ads, create lookalike audiences to reach new potential customers, and deliver remarketing ads to people who have previously visited our Site or taken specific actions.

The Meta Pixel may collect data including pages visited, actions taken (such as form submissions or phone calls), time spent on the Site, referral source, device and browser information, and IP address.

4.4 Social Media Cookies

If the Site includes social media sharing buttons or embedded content from platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or others, those platforms may set cookies on your browser when you interact with that content, even if you do not click the buttons. These cookies are governed by the respective platform’s privacy policy.

4.5 Managing Cookies

You can manage your cookie preferences in the following ways:

  • Browser Settings: Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can set your browser to refuse all cookies, accept only certain cookies, or notify you when a cookie is being set. Note that disabling cookies may impair Site functionality.
  • Google Ads Settings: You can manage your Google advertising preferences and opt out of personalized ads at https://adssettings.google.com
  • Meta Ad Preferences: You can manage your Facebook ad preferences at https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences
  • Network Advertising Initiative: You can opt out of targeted advertising from many ad networks at https://optout.networkadvertising.org
  • Digital Advertising Alliance: You can opt out at https://optout.aboutads.info

5. GOOGLE ADS AND REMARKETING

5.1 Google Ads Conversion Tracking

We use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. When you click on a Google Ad and arrive at our Site, a temporary cookie is placed on your device. If you complete a conversion action (such as submitting a contact form, calling our office, or scheduling a service), Google Ads records this conversion. We receive aggregated, non-personally identifiable conversion data from Google to evaluate campaign performance.

5.2 Google Remarketing

We use Google remarketing to show advertisements to users who have previously visited our Site. When you visit our Site, Google’s remarketing code sets cookies that allow Google to display our ads to you on websites within the Google Display Network and on Google Search. These ads may appear based on the pages you visited on our Site.

You can opt out of Google’s use of cookies for remarketing by visiting Google’s Ads Settings page. You may also opt out by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

5.3 Google Analytics Advertising Features

We may enable Google Analytics Advertising Features, which include remarketing with Google Analytics, Google Display Network impression reporting, Google Analytics demographics and interest reporting, and integrated services that require Google Analytics to collect data for advertising purposes, including data collection via advertising cookies and identifiers.

6. SOCIAL MEDIA ADVERTISING

6.1 Facebook and Instagram (Meta) Advertising

We run advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram through the Meta advertising platform. In connection with these campaigns, we may:

  • Use the Meta Pixel to track conversions, optimize ad delivery, and build audiences
  • Upload customer lists (such as email addresses or phone numbers) to Meta in hashed form for Custom Audience targeting, which allows us to show ads to existing customers or exclude them from campaigns
  • Create Lookalike Audiences based on characteristics of our existing customers to reach new potential customers with similar profiles
  • Use Meta’s Conversions API (CAPI) to send server-side event data to Meta for more accurate conversion tracking and ad optimization

Data shared with Meta through the Pixel or Custom Audiences is subject to Meta’s Data Processing Terms and Privacy Policy. You can manage your ad preferences directly in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.

6.2 Other Social Media Advertising

We may also run advertising campaigns on additional platforms including but not limited to TikTok, Nextdoor, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube. Each of these platforms uses its own tracking technologies and may collect data about your interactions with our ads. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any social media platforms where you encounter our advertisements.

6.3 Custom Audiences and Data Matching

When we upload customer data (such as email addresses or phone numbers) to advertising platforms for Custom Audience targeting, this data is hashed (encrypted) before being uploaded or is hashed by the platform upon receipt. The platform uses this hashed data solely to match against its user base for ad targeting and does not use it for any other purpose. You may opt out of Custom Audience targeting by adjusting your ad preferences on the respective platform.

7. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

7.1 Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party service providers who perform functions on our behalf, including payment processors, scheduling software providers, customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, email marketing services, and IT support providers. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes of providing services to us and to maintain appropriate security measures.

7.2 Advertising Partners

As described in Sections 5 and 6, we share certain data with advertising platforms including Google and Meta for the purposes of ad targeting, conversion tracking, remarketing, and campaign optimization. This data may include hashed email addresses, phone numbers, browsing behavior, and conversion events.

7.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a law enforcement request.

7.4 Business Transfers

If Organix Pest Control is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on the Site of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.

7.5 With Your Consent

We may share your information for any other purpose with your express consent.

8. DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specific retention periods include:

  • Customer service records: Retained for a minimum of seven (7) years after the last service date for legal and regulatory compliance
  • Payment and billing records: Retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations
  • Website analytics data: Retained in aggregated or anonymized form for up to twenty-six (26) months via Google Analytics default settings
  • Advertising audience data: Retained by advertising platforms in accordance with their respective data retention policies
  • Communication records: Retained for a minimum of three (3) years

When personal information is no longer needed for any legitimate business or legal purpose, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

9. DATA SECURITY

We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect it from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of sensitive data in transit using SSL/TLS protocols (HTTPS)
  • Encryption of stored payment information
  • Access controls limiting employee and contractor access to personal information on a need-to-know basis
  • Regular security assessments and updates to our systems
  • Secure storage of physical records containing personal information
  • Employee training on data privacy and security best practices

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data, and you transmit information to us at your own risk.

10. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

10.1 Access and Correction

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete information. To make such a request, please contact us using the information in Section 15.

10.2 Deletion

You may request the deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions required by law (such as records we are legally obligated to retain). We will respond to deletion requests within thirty (30) days.

10.3 Opt-Out of Marketing Communications

You may opt out of receiving promotional emails from us by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or by contacting us directly. Please note that even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you transactional or service-related communications (such as appointment reminders or service follow-ups).

10.5 Do Not Track

Some web browsers transmit “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. Because there is no uniform standard for how DNT signals should be interpreted, our Site does not currently respond to DNT signals. However, you can manage tracking through the opt-out mechanisms described above.

11. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including:

  • Right to Delete: The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
  • Right to Correct: The right to request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell personal information. However, certain data sharing activities with advertising partners (such as sharing data through the Meta Pixel or Google remarketing cookies) may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA. You have the right to opt out of this sharing
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights

To exercise your CCPA/CPRA rights, please contact us using the information in Section 15. We will verify your identity before processing your request. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

12. RESIDENTS OF OTHER STATES

We will respond in accordance with the requirements of your state’s law.

Our Site and services are not directed to individuals under the age of sixteen (16), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under sixteen (16). If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately using the information in Section 15, and we will take steps to delete such information from our systems.

14. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Site with a revised “Effective Date.” We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.

For material changes that significantly affect how we collect, use, or share your personal information, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice through the Site, by email, or through other appropriate channels.
