Common Rodents in Post Falls, Spokane, and Coeur d'Alene
Field Mice
Common Pest
Field mice, small rodents often found in fields and meadows, are known for their rapid reproduction. A female can produce a litter of 4-8 pups every 3 weeks, allowing populations to grow quickly. They defecate frequently, clearing their bowels several times a day. This high reproductive rate and constant foraging behavior help sustain their populations in the wild.

Deer mice are small, agile rodents with soft fur ranging in color from brown to gray, typically with white underbellies. They thrive in varied habitats and are known carriers of the hantavirus, which can be transmitted through their droppings. Handling their feces without proper precautions poses serious health risks, as the orthohanta virus can lead to severe respiratory illness in humans.

Yelp Review
Organix has been showing up every quarter for years -- and I'll never switch! He's always polite, kind, attentive, and incredibly informative. Any time we see any movement with bugs, he's more than willing to come out.
I've used his services at my own home for bugs and spiders, at my mom's house in the past for mice, and now we're having him take care of a big hornet nest at another location. If it involves moving critters or bugs, Organix can handle it
I highly recommend Organix for their exceptional pest control services! They are professional, knowledgeable, and always goes above and beyond! Matthew's attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction are truly commendable.

Local. Great communication. Someone you'd invite into your home. Matthew is our new pest control guy! Over the last decade+ we've tried various ones with varying success. Most of the problem was due to them not being local and being a large company with bad communication. We're just starting with Organix, but so far we are highly impressed from the person who answers the phones to our tech. We also like the products they use as we have a dog and are on our deck a lot.
They come by every three months. We have had no issues with pests since we started this service 3 years ago. They covered the entire perimeter and then also sprayed into our deck metal work for possible hornet and yellow jacket nests. He spotted a nest starting under the eaves and removed that and sprayed the area. These guys are great.

Yelp Review
I can't believe the level of customer service these guys provide, they treated me like family throughout the whole ordeal! I used to use RAID and similar products to kill ants but was educated on the dangers of doing that as many of these pests will only become stressed if not all are killed, and start other colonies, worsening the problem! Thankful for Kaptar and how good of a job they did, zero worries now and pest free!
Very detailed and great customer service. I highly recommend!

Why are mice a problem in homes around Post Falls, CDA, and Spokane?
Mice are common in the Inland Northwest due to cold winters and abundant shelter options. They enter homes for warmth, food, and nesting materials, often through tiny cracks or gaps. Once inside, they reproduce rapidly, with a single pair capable of producing dozens of offspring in just a few months.
What are the signs of a mouse infestation?
They’re attracted to food, garbage, and outdoor activity during warmer months. These pests can become aggressive when threatened, posing risks to families, pets, and anyone with sting allergies.
How does Organix Pest Control get rid of mice?
We use a combination of exclusion (sealing entry points - Members Only), baiting, and trapping to remove mice safely and effectively. Our technicians focus on both eliminating the active infestation and preventing new ones, with customized solutions for homes in Post Falls, CDA, and Spokane.
How can I prevent mice from coming back?
Prevention starts with sealing gaps around foundations, doors, and utility lines, plus keeping food sealed and stored properly. Because mice breed so quickly, proactive measures are essential. Organix Pest Control offers ongoing rodent protection services to ensure your home stays mouse-free year-round.
